Welcome to Brooklyn MFT. Celebrating 13 years of service! Life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face them alone. We provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Our work is grounded in a culturally sensitive, solution-focused approach that honors your experiences, strengths, and goals. Together, we work to better understand what you’re facing and identify meaningful paths toward healing, connection, and growth. We offer both in-person and virtual sessions for residents of New York and New Jersey. Our office is located on the Bushwick–Bedford-Stuyvesant border in Brooklyn, NY. FOUNDER & LEAD PSYCHOTHERAPIST Cheryl Donald, LMFT, has spent over 25 years helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and move toward greater clarity, connection, and emotional well-being. She believes that therapy can be a powerful space for reflection, healing, and growth. She works collaboratively with clients to help uncover strengths, shift patterns that no longer serve them, and move toward the life they want to create. Cheryl’s work is grounded in a culturally sensitive, solution-focused approach that honors each client’s unique experiences and perspective. She specializes in supporting clients facing betrayal trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship conflict, offering a thoughtful and compassionate environment where difficult experiences can be explored safely and constructively. Cheryl earned her graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hofstra University. She is a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and is also a keynote speaker and subject matter expert on behavioral health issues. CLINICAL SUPERVISION FOR THERAPISTS Cheryl Donald, LMFT is an Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), having completed the rigorous educational, clinical, and supervisory training required to provide competent supervision to psychotherapists and trainees. Cheryl offers thoughtful, supportive case consultation designed to help therapists deepen their clinical skills, strengthen their professional identity, and navigate the complexities of therapeutic work.
